Description
When one of these tiny, FAST, amazing creatures pauses in mid air to stare directly into your eyes...well, it's an experience you never forget to say the least. I cannot help but be awed by these moments of connection and what I experience as love. Meeting these momentary glances fills me with peace and delight, a sweet reminder to nurture the quietness within that allows me to see the souls of not only the small, but of all beings.
I believe this is a fairly young male Anna's Hummingbird as the flash of color on his "gorget" (throat) is still rather small and they become larger as the hummer matures. These little ones are so fearless....and they've been coming within inches of me hovering as I sit with my coffee and camera on the porch...in bliss!

Thank you so much Colleen! You know I endeavor to photograph these little ones away from the feeder as I've read that it's better, but just try being close enough otherwise...lol! I cannot complain...they are extraordinarily cooperative with me about having their beauty captured on camera!

Thank you Sarah for always taking the time to comment on my work! I really appreciate your support and interest...it makes a big difference, especially as I've not had much time for quite awhile to promote my work (or even do it). Thanks again!
