Description
Just when doubt crept in,
when my heart was flailing,
struggling to hold it's own
in the face of those oh-so-outdated fables,
sad and pervasive,
of not being worthy,
of never being enough...
Just then you appeared,
you messengers of hope,
reminding me of truth,
speaking to me simply of love,
the blessing of being...
Telling me, showing me
in the jubilance of your flight,
in the elegance of your work in this world,
You spoke to me of joy,
With just a backwards glance.
I don't know why at times
we lose our way
I try to think there is some greater purpose,
to what seems a falling backwards,
but this day,
with a gaze that pierces deep into my soul
I am reclaimed by love,
and grateful for the sweetness of our communion.

Many thanks to Nadine and Bob for featuring "Communion" in the Artist News Group and publishing it in the paper as well. I greatly appreciate your efforts in support of so many of us here on FAA.

Well! Thank you so much Jo and Lainie for making my day so wonderful! I am very happy to read your lovely comments....because I literally spent hours experimenting with this image (and the other version of it) to create the feeling of what I experienced with these amazing beings. I have also been desiring to expand my work beyond what I consider to be more straightforward photography, into a greater artistic expression. Such is our nature...to always be evolving our art!
