This print is beautiful. It's a commonly depicted subject, but it is very special. The composition, tonal quality, and movement are exceptional and evocative. The piece is true to it's title... breathtaking!

I have wanted this for my pro life bulletin board at my Catholic Church and I wasn’t disappointed. It is beautiful and it has so much meaning put in a picture. A picture speaks better then words and this picture says it all. Thanks
Artist's Description
I spent several hours today rescuing this little cutie who had somehow gotten up in between the glass and screen of my mother's bathroom window. I gave him water with a turkey baster through the screen, then opened the window wider thinking he might be stuck, but he was just afraid to let go and jump for the rhodie branches. This happened as a clean-out crew was cleaning all of my recently deceased mother's belongings out of the house. I guess we both were getting a lesson in letting go.

Oh he is one cute little feller! I have a window like this, and if one of those little "coonies" hears my voice, they will shred the screen to get inside.. Sorry to hear about your Mother Rory. I really like your analogy about LETTING GO... how very apropos! Great capture and story Rory..

What an amazing story here Rory !! Its a very special animal and it looks like he wants to get in and feels being caught. The only thing thats missing is his black burglar eye band !! :))
Rory Siegel replied:
I'm guessing that he was up on the roof trying to get water out of the rain gutter, then got stuck on the way down Michel. What was interesting was that the first time I tried to gently move him he hissed and snarled at me, but after that, he seemed to understand that I was trying to help him. At one point he was all the way hanging over the top edge of the window and I was using a lambswool (clean) mophead to gently try and move him back down to the sill and then to the ladder. Thank you for your comment Michel!

Thank you Colleen! Yes, it was a gut-wrenching few hours until I got him down! It was in the 90s that day and the poor thing was dehydrated!
